BEYOND THE PALE GHOSTS IN THE MACHINE

glitches in photogrammetry, point clouds, fold(ing)s and metal
September 2019-June 2020

glitch (noun)
/ɡlɪtʃ/
    1. a technologically specific and indeterminable phenomenon resulting from a series of multiple compounded effects or actions
    2. a small problem or fault that prevents something from being successful or working as it should (Cambridge Dictionary)

A repository of notable analyses, articulations, discoveries, experiments, notes and other reflections on the immediate and possible materializations of computational glitches resulting from the capture of lived space with photogrammetry. The research is guided by an attempt to understand and transform the ephemerality of digital materiality to physical processes, forms, and phenomena. These translations, transformations, and reinterpretations are analyzed for their ability to influence or define an architecture of experience.
